DSG® Clutch, Removing: Removing

-- Remove the clutch end cover. Refer to CLUTCH END COVER .

-- Remove the locking ring -2- from the drive plate with a screwdriver -1- -arrow- and dispose of it.

-- Remove the drive plate -arrows-.

-- Remove the circlip -arrow-.

This circlip must be replaced and remeasured during installation.

CAUTION:

Carefully remove the clutch. Make sure that the end cover or other parts of the clutch do not fall out; for this reason, do not turn over the clutch!

-- Carefully remove the double clutch from the transmission.

-- Pull out the pump shaft -A- and lay it to the side.

-- The pump shaft will first be used after the installation of the new clutch.

-- Install the dual clutch. Refer to DUAL CLUTCH, INSTALLING .
