Clutch End Cover: Notes

Guide Sleeve T10302

NOTE: Clean the Guide Sleeve T10302 before using, and do not use any scratched sleeves.

Short Description

The clutch cover seals the transmission toward the outside. A locking ring holds the clutch cover is place. Remove the locking ring and pry out the clutch cover. Always replace the clutch cover and the locking ring. Never use a hammer to install the clutch cover and never lubricate the center seal or touch it. If this should occur, the clutch cover will certainly leak!

The transmission must be removed in order to work on the clutch cover.

-- Remove the transmission. Refer to TRANSMISSION, REMOVING .

-- Secure the transmission on the assembly stand. Refer to SECURING ON ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION HOLDER .
