Coolant Pump: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Replace the seals and the O-rings.

-- Clean the O-ring sealing surfaces.

-- Coat the O-rings -4- with coolant.

-- Make sure both alignment sleeves are installed in the cylinder block.

-- Install the connection -2- into the oil cooler -1-.

-- First, slide the coolant pump -3- onto the connection and then onto the alignment sleeves in the cylinder block.

-- Using a mirror, check if the coolant pump is seated correctly on the alignment sleeves.

-- Tighten the bolts in sequence -1 through 5-.

NOTE:

If a new coolant pump was installed, then the protective cap -arrow- must be removed.

The rest of the installation follows the reverse of the removal procedure.
