Exhaust System, Installing Without Tension: Procedure

Align the exhaust system when cold.

-- Loosen the screws on the clamping sleeve -2-.

-- Push the exhaust system far enough forward until the pre-load on the retaining loops at the exhaust pipe -a- = 9 mm.

-- Install clamping sleeve in angle position shown.

-- Install clamping sleeve in angle position shown.

Angle -α- = approximately 20°.
The threaded connection faces the right.
The nuts are toward the top.

-- Tighten the clamping sleeve threaded connections evenly.

Tightening specification, refer to OVERVIEW - MUFFLER .
