EGR Temperature Sensor -G98-: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

CAUTION: There is a risk of malfunctions from loose exhaust gas temperature sensor.
  • The exhaust gas temperature sensor threads -G495- and -G648- are coated. Do NOT coat with hot bolt paste and make sure to tighten to the tightening specification.
NOTE: Protect the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor against knocks and impacts. A dropped Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor may not be used again.

-- For the electrical connections and wiring routing, refer to RELAY PANELS, FUSE PANELS AND E-BOX LOCATION OVERVIEW and appropriate Wiring Diagram.

-- Install the engine cover, refer to ENGINE COVER .
