Overview - Exhaust Gas Recirculation

Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions, refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

1. Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Cooler
   • Removing and installing, refer to EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) COOLER .
2. Bolt
   • Tightening specification and sequence, refer to Fig 4, if only the exhaust gas recirculation cooler is removed
3. Bracket
   • For cooler for Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)
4. Bolt
   • Tightening specification and sequence, refer to Fig 4, if only the exhaust gas recirculation cooler is removed
5. Screw-Type Clamp
   • Replace after removing
   • Installed position, refer to Fig 3
   • Tightening specification and sequence, refer to Fig 4.
6. Seal
   • Replace after removing
7. Emissions Control Module
   • Removing and installing, refer to EMISSIONS CONTROL MODULE .
8. EGR Motor 2 -V339-
   • Removing and installing, refer to EGR MOTOR 2 -V339- .
     CAUTION: The EGR motor is protected by a heat shield from heat damage. In the heat shield is damaged it is necessary to replace and check the EGR motor with for heat damage and if necessary replace.
9. Bolt
   • 9 Nm
10. Seal
    • Replace after removing

• Angle -α- = 10 to 15°.
