Overview - SUBFRAME Mount

- Engine support to engine
- Replace after removing
- Tightening specification, refer to Fig 2.
Engine Mount
- Removing and installing, refer to ENGINE MOUNT .
Bolt
- 40 Nm + 90°
- Replace after removing
- Engine mount to body
Bracket
Bolt
- 20 Nm + 90°
- Replace after removing
- Bracket to engine mount and body
Bolt
- 40 Nm + 90°
- Replace after removing
- Engine mount to body
Bolts
- 60 Nm + 90°
- Replace after removing
- Engine mount to engine support
Pendulum Support
- First install pendulum support to the transmission and then to the subframe
- Removing and installing, refer to Fig 3.
Bolt
- Tightening specification, refer to Fig 3.
- Replace after removing
- Pendulum supports to subframe
Bolts
- Tightening specification, refer to Fig 3.
- Replace after removing
- Pendulum supports to transmission
Bolt
- 60 Nm + 90°
- Replace after removing
- Transmission mount to transmission support
Bolt
- 40 Nm + 90°
- Replace after removing
- Transmission mount to body
Transmission Mount
- The illustration shows the DSG® transmission version
Gearbox Support
Bolt
Tightening specification:
- Vehicles with a manual transmission
  - 60 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn.
  - Always replace after removing.
  - Transmission mount bracket to transmission.
- Vehicles with DSG® transmission
  - Transmission bracket to transmission.
  - Replace after removing
  - Torque: 40 Nm +90°
- Double bolt
- Transmission support to transmission
Bolt
Tightening specification:
- Vehicles with a manual transmission
  - 60 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn.
  - Always replace after removing.
- Vehicles with DSG® transmission
  - Replace after removing
  - Torque: 40 Nm +90°
- Transmission support to transmission
Engine Support
- Removing and installing, refer to ENGINE SUPPORT .

-- Tighten the bolts in steps in the sequence -1- through -3- :

Stage	Bolts	Tightening Specification/Additional Turn
1.	-1- through -3-	7 Nm
2.	-1- through -3-	40 Nm
3.	-1- through -3-	Tighten an additional 90° (1/4) turn

-- First install the pendulum support -4- to the transmission and then to the subframe.

-- Tighten the bolts in stages and in the sequence shown:

Stage	Bolts	Tightening Specification/Additional Turn
1.	-2- and -3-	50 Nm
2.	-1-	100 Nm
3.	-1- through -3-	Tighten an additional 90° (1/4) turn
