Steering Wheel: Removing

WARNING:
Before performing work on the electrical system and removing the steering wheel, the following conditions must be met:
- Disconnect ground (GND) strap from the battery [For transmission(s) 0A4, 02E, 09G, 02Q] [For engine(s) CVCA, CPRA, CPKA, CPLA, CJAA, CBUA, CPPA, CCTA, CBFA] Removal and Installation .
- The wheels must be in the straight-ahead position.
The airbag system may not work properly if you do not follow these WARNINGS.
-- Move the steering column to the center height position.
-- Remove the Driver Side Airbag. Refer to Removal and Installation .
-- Set the wheels to the straight ahead position.
NOTE:
Removal and installation of steering wheel must take place in center position (wheels in straight-ahead position).
-- Remove the bolt -1-.
-- Mark the position of the steering wheel/steering column.
-- Remove the steering wheel -2- from the steering column.
