Plenum Chamber Cover: Removing

NOTE: Removing and installing the plenum chamber cover may slightly differ depending on the model.

-- Remove the windshield wiper arms, refer to WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM .

-- Remove the seal -3- from the plenum chamber covers -1- and -2-.

-- Remove the retaining clips -4- from the plenum chamber covers -1- and -2- and remove the plenum chamber bulkhead.

CAUTION: The windshield -6- could break. Do not use a screwdriver, a wedge or any other prying tool to pry off the plenum chamber covers -1- and -2-. This could damage the windshield -6-, which could later crack.

-- Lift the plenum chamber covers -1- and -2- at the edge of the windshield -6- by hand.

-- Starting at the edge of the windshield -6- and working up, remove the plenum chamber covers -1- and -2- from the retainer -5-.

-- Remove the left plenum chamber cover -2- forward and from the vehicle. Be careful of the horn between the windshield and fender when removing it.

-- Remove the bracket that holds the lines for the spray nozzles from the right plenum chamber cover -1-.

-- Remove the left plenum chamber cover -1- forward and from the vehicle. Be careful of the flange all the way around between the windshield and fender when removing it.
