Rear Seat Backrest, Sedan: Removing

-- Remove the bench seat. Refer to SEAT BENCH/SINGLE SEAT .

CAUTION:

Do not press the rear seat backrests onto the center backrest mounting! To prevent damage to the backrest cover, place a foam piece or similar material between the backrest mounting and the backrest!

-- Remove the luggage compartment carpet. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR PANEL .

-- Remove the rear dual seat belt latch, refer to REAR BELT LATCH .

-- Remove the C-pillar trim panel. Refer to C-PILLAR TRIM .

-- Remove the side trim panel. Refer to SIDE TRIM PANEL, SEDAN .

Vehicles with Subwoofer

-- Remove the subwoofer. Refer to Removal and Installation Sound System; Subwoofer -R211- , Removing and Installing.

Continuation for all vehicles

-- Fold the side luggage compartment trim panel toward the rear.

-- Open the release cable brackets -1- and -2- on both sides of the backrest in the luggage compartment and remove the release cable -3- .
