Rear Seat Backrest Frame, Sedan: Removing

-- Remove the bench seat. Refer to SEAT BENCH/SINGLE SEAT .

CAUTION:

Do not press the rear seat backrests onto the center backrest mounting! To prevent damage to the backrest cover, place a foam piece or similar material between the backrest mounting and the backrest!

-- Remove the cover and cushion. Refer to REAR SEAT BACKREST COVER AND CUSHION, SEDAN .

-- Remove the backrest locks and the release cable on both sides. Refer to REAR SEAT BACKREST LOCKING MECHANISM, SEDAN .

-- Remove the 8 bolts -arrows- on the front side.

-- Using a screwdriver, pry caps -2- and -3- on both sides out of the mounts on the rear side of the backrest -1- .

-- Remove the backrest shells -1- and -2- upward from backrest frame.
