Oil Pump: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Replace the O-ring.

-- Replace any missing alignment sleeves -arrows- for centering the oil pump.

-- Turn the toothed belt sprocket to make sure the oil pump moves easily.

-- Replace the oil pump if it does not move easily.

NOTE:

The toothed belt can start to sag after a long time.

-- Check the toothed belt for the oil pump.

-- Replace the toothed belt if it is damaged.

-- Engage the oil pump and toothed belt sprocket in the toothed belt and tighten it together with the oil baffle.

-- Install the oil pan. Refer to OIL PAN .

-- Fill the engine oil and check the oil level.
