Oil Pan Lower Section: Removing

-- Remove the noise insulation, refer to Overview - Herbie Beetle Decorative Film .

-- Remove the right front wheel housing liners. .

-- Release and remove the connector -arrow- from the Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-.

-- Loosen the fasteners -arrows- and remove the noise insulation -1-.

-- Drain engine oil .

-- Loosen and remove bolts -1- through -20- diagonally.

-- Insert the a bolt for the oil pan lower section eight turns on the threaded hole -arrow-.

NOTE:

At approximately eight turns the bonding loosened audibly.

Do not install the bolts with great force.

If the bolts are installed too far, the oil pan lower section can become deformed.

Do not bend when loosening the oil pan lower section bonding.

-- Insert the Wedge Set - Wedge 2T10383/2 at the loosened position -arrow-.

-- Place the opening on the Wedge Set - Wedge 2T10383/2 on the bolt.

-- Carefully drive in the wedge with a plastic mallet.

-- Carefully loosen the oil pan lower section from the bond.

-- Move the Wedge Set - Wedge 2T10383/2 and loosen the bonding on the other positions.
