Transmission Fluid Pump: Installing

-- Install the transmission fluid pump input shaft -A- all the way into the transmission. Turn the input shaft while doing this.

-- Always use a new metal seal -B-.

The 2 alignment pins -C- must be inside the transmission housing.

-- When positioning the transmission fluid pump, pay attention to input shaft splines and correct seating on alignment pins.

-- Tighten the transmission fluid pump bolts to the tightening specification.

-- Clean transmission oil pump cover sealing surface on transmission housing.

-- Set new transmission fluid pump cover -A- in place and tighten new screws -arrows- in diagonal sequence and in several steps to the tightening specification.

Transmission does not have oil. You must now add new oil and adjust to the correct oil level. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID .

-- Install the left front wheel housing liner. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to Removal and Installation .
