Insert the connecting pin T10027 A through hole -A- and into hole -B-

• It must be possible to move the selector and shift cables -B- in the cable retainers -A- .

-- Turn the locking mechanisms on the cable retainers for the shift and selector cables all the way to the right in the -direction of arrow 1- .

The spring will push the locking mechanism into the starting position in the -direction of arrow 2- .

-- Then, turn the locking pin -A- in the -direction of the arrow- back into it starting position.

NOTE:

The locking pin -A- must be pressed out of the gear shift unit as far as the stop and it must face toward the rear.

-- Pull the Connecting Pin T10027 A out of the holes -A and B- .

-- If equipped, install the noise insulation -1- .

-- Install the shift knob boot into the center console.

-- Make sure the shift lever moves easily.

-- Install the air filter housing, refer to Installing .
