Mass Airflow Sensor -G70-: Installing

Perform the following procedures to ensure that the Mass Airflow Sensor -G70- functions correctly.

NOTE:

If the air filter is very dirty or soaked, dirt particles or moisture may have contaminated the mass airflow sensor and may be causing false mass airflow values. This results in a reduction of power, since a lower injection quantity is calculated.

Always use an Original air filter.

Always replace damaged rings.

Use a silicone-free lubricant when installing the air guide hose and seal.

The hose connections as well as the air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps .

-- Check the mass airflow sensor and air guide hose (intake air side) for salt residue, dirt and leaves.

-- Check the intake channels up to the air filter insert for dirt. If any contaminants are discovered, clean the air filter housing.

-- If necessary clean the upper and lower section by washing or vacuuming.

-- To install the Mass Airflow Sensor -G70- -2- position and turn in the direction of arrow -A-.

-- Install the engine cover, refer to ENGINE COVER .
