Hid Headlamps, Adjusting

Performing the basic setting:

-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester .

-- Switch on the ignition.

-- Select "Guided Functions".

-- Select the VIN.

-- Select 55 - headlamp range control.

-- Mark "perform basic setting" and confirm with →.

-- Observe displayed notes and confirm by selecting "complete".

Headlamp Lateral and Height Adjustment:

Adjustment screws for left headlamp are arranged symmetrically.

Adjustment screw (inner hexagon) for height adjustment of low beam bright/dark boundary -1-.
Adjustment screw (inner hexagon) for lateral adjustment of low beam bright/dark boundary -2-.

NOTE:

In some markets the adjusting screw for the side adjustment -2- is sealed. Lateral adjustment is not permitted.

-- First turn adjustment screw -1- to adjust height of bright/dark boundary.

-- Then the side adjustment must be checked and corrected with adjustment screw -2- if necessary.

NOTE:

Adjusting the left headlamp is identical and in the same sequence.

Adjustment screws for left headlamp are arranged symmetrically.
