Transmission Fluid Level, Checking: Notes

Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
Oil Filler: VAS6262A
Also Oil Filler - Adapter 6: VAS6262/6 for some fluid containers
Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit: SMN372500

Pay attention to the notes:

If filling the transmission fluid, only use transmission fluid that is available as a replacement part. Refer to the Parts Information.
It is necessary to use the : VAS6262/6 on some oil containers.

It may be necessary to shorten the bleed pipe on the : VAS6262A . Refer to the information below.

Measuring the Length of the Vent Pipe on the and Shortening if Necessary.

-- Shorten the pipe to dimension -a-. This assures the bleed pipe on the : VAS6262A will not touch the bottom on some oil containers.

Dimension -a- = 210 mm

NOTE:

Dimension -a- is measured starting from the shaft (the green surface) on the : VAS6262A .

If dimension -a- is greater than 210 mm:

-- Make a mark on the bleed pipe, dimension -a-, and cut it, with for example the : VAS6056/2 .

-- Clean the : VAS6262A .

Requirements

The vehicle is level and all hoist supports are the same height.
The noise insulation has been removed.
The Vehicle Diagnostic Tester is connected.
To begin working, the oil temperature must not be higher than 45 °C (113 °F).
Test temperature: 35 to 45 °C (95 to 113 °F)
