Overview - Timing Chain Cover

- Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-
- Removing and installing. Refer to Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Gasket
- Replace after removing

- Replace if damaged
- O-Ring
- Replace after removing
- Coat with oil before assembly
- Engine
- Lower Timing Chain Cover
- Replacing. Refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- With shaft seal
- Dependent on the sealing compound sealant, bends the cover when removing. For this reason the cover must always be replaced after removing.
- Shaft Seal
- For the vibration damper
- Replacing. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER SEALING RING, REPLACING .

- Replace after removing

Upper Timing Chain Cover - Tightening Sequence
-- Tighten the bolts -1 through 6- in the sequence shown:

Lower Timing Chain Cover - Eight Bolt Tightening Sequence
-- Tighten the bolts -1 through 8- in three stages in the sequence shown:
