Coolant Thermostat Housing, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

-- Coat the O-rings -4- with coolant. Refer to the approved list for the coolant.

-- Make sure that both centering pins are installed in the cylinder block if necessary insert.

-- Install the connection piece -2- into the engine oil cooler -1-.

-- Push the thermostat housing -3- onto the connection piece and onto the centering pins in the cylinder block.

-- Tighten the thermostat housing bolts. Refer to Figure.

-- Install the coolant pump. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- After installing a new coolant pump -2-, remove the cap -1- from the drive wheel.

-- Install the toothed belt on the coolant pump. Refer to COOLANT PUMP TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Secure the After-Run Coolant Pump -V51- again.

-- Fill with coolant. Refer to Filling .
