Rear Brake Shoes: Notes

NOTE:
After replacing the brake cylinder, the brake pads and the brake shoes, press the brake pedal once so that the brake shoes are properly seated.
Use Brake Charger/Bleeder Unit VAS 5234 to extract brake fluid from brake fluid reservoir.
Install the Brake Pedal Actuator VAG 1869/2 to relieve pressure before removing a brake cylinder or brake carrier or before disconnecting a brake line from the brake cylinder.
