Charge Air Hose Connection, Installing, Coupling

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 Volkswagen Beetle, 2014 Volkswagen Beetle, and 2013 Volkswagen Beetle. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:

Before testing or performing a repair, check all air guide pipes and hoses and all vacuum lines for leaks and secure seating.

The hose connections as well as the air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

Secure hose connections with standard production clamps.

In order to be able to securely mount the air guide hoses on their connectors, spray the screws on the previously used clamps with a rust remover.

-- Insert the pressure hose -3- into the coupling -1- in the direction of the -arrow-.

-- Push the clamp -2- all the way down.

NOTE:

Replace the seal if damaged.

The hose supports, air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

Make sure the seal fits completely inside the groove in the air guide pipe/hose.

Coat the sealing surface and the seal with a silicone-free lubricant.

If it is not possible to push the clamp all the way through, this means the pressure hose is not mounted far enough in the coupling.

Push the pressure hose again and lock the clamp.
