Clutch Overview, With Dual Mass Flywheel, Manufactured By SACHS

- Dual Mass Flywheel
- Removing and installing, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Make sure it fits securely on the centering pins.
- Keep the clutch lining contact surface free of grooves, oil and grease.
- Follow the removal procedure, refer to Fig 3.
- Clutch Disc
- Allocation.
- Removing and installing, refer to CLUTCH, WITH DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL, MANUFACTURED BY SACHS .
- Only replace together with the pressure plate.
- Installed position, refer to Figure.
- Pressure Plate
- Allocation.
- With an adjustment mechanism.
- Only replace together with the clutch disc.
- How to recognize, refer to Fig 2.
- Removing and installing, refer to CLUTCH, WITH DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL, MANUFACTURED BY SACHS .
- Checking the ends of the diaphragm spring, refer to Figure.
- Checking the spring and rivet connections, refer to Figure.
- Bolt
- M6 - 13 Nm
- M7 - 20 Nm
- Loosen and tighten in small steps and in a diagonal sequence.
- Allocation.
- Pressure plate with stop (position sensor) -arrow-.
NOTE:
To prevent damage when removing the dual mass flywheel, the bolts -B- must not be loosened using an air powered or impact wrench. Loosen and remove the bolts -B- using hand tools only.
-- Rotate the dual mass flywheel -A- until the bolts are centered in the holes -arrows-.
-- Make sure the bolt heads -B- do not touch the flywheel -arrows- when removing them otherwise the flywheel will damage them.
