Coil Spring, Removing

-- Tension the Suspension Strut Clamping Block VAG1752/20 -4- in a vice.

-- Tension the suspension strut in the Suspension Strut Clamping Block VAG1752/20 -4-.

-- Pretension the coil spring using the Spring Compressor VAG1752/1 until the upper axial groove ball bearing is free.

Torque Wrench 40-200Nm VAG1332
Ring Spanner Insert AF 21T10001/8
Spring Compressor VAG1752/1
Suspension Strut Clamping Block VAG1752/20
2 Spring Holders (80-165mm) VAG1752/4
Ring Spanner Insert AF 21T10001/5
Ratchet T10001/11

WARNING:

First pre-load spring far enough so that tension is relieved on upper spring plate!

-- Make sure the coil spring fits correctly inside the 2 Spring Holders (80-165mm) VAG1752/4 -arrows-.

-- Remove hex nut from piston rod.

-- Remove individual components of suspension strut and coil spring with Spring Compressor VAG1752/1.
