Crankshaft Seal, Replacing, Transmission Side: Removing

-- Follow repair instructions. Refer to GENERAL INFORMATION .

-- Remove the transmission. Refer to [For transmission(s) 0A4] Removal and Installation and [For transmission(s) 09G] Removal and Installation .

-- Secure the crankshaft. Refer to CRANKSHAFT, LOCKING .

-- Remove the flywheel and drive plate and then remove the sensor wheel for the Engine Speed Sensor -G28- from the crankshaft.

-- Remove the seal using Pulling Hook T20143/2.

Be careful not to damage the sealing surface on the crankshaft.
