Rear Muffler, Multi-Link Suspension: Installing

NOTE: A 2nd technician is required to tighten the rear clamping sleeve, refer to CLAMPING SLEEVE LOCATIONS .

-- Secure the front muffler in the mounts. The front clamp remains loosely connected to pipes.

-- Align the rear muffler horizontally and hold it in this position.

-- Position the clamping sleeves with both outer markings and tighten them to 23 Nm.

-- Align the exhaust system free of tension, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .

Cabriolet

-- Install the subframe crossbrace -3-, refer to SUBFRAME OVERVIEW .
