Hood Latch: Removing

-- Open the hood.

-- Remove the release cable from the coupling, refer to HOOD RELEASE CABLE COUPLING, DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING .

-- Remove the bolts -1- for the hood latch -2- from the engine compartment side.

-- Carefully pull the hood latch -2- upward and out of the lock carrier until the Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266- -1- is accessible.

-- Release the hooks -arrow a- on the Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266-.

-- Push the Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266- in the direction of the arrow b- and remove it from the hood latch -2-.

-- Remove the hood latch further upward from the lock carrier.

-- Press the retaining strap on the mount -arrows- and remove the retainer -2-.
