Gas-Filled Strut, Releasing Gas

-- Clamp gas-filled strut in a vise in area -x- = 50 mm (2 in.).

WARNING:

Only clamp the gas strut in area -x-. Otherwise, an accident may occur.

Wear protective eyewear when sawing.

-- Cut open the cylinder of the gas-filled strut within the first third of the total cylinder length, using the piston rod end of the cylinder as a reference point.

NOTE:

Cover the area of the separated portion with a clean rag.

Dispose of oil and cloth via existing disposal channels.
