Cylinder Head Cover Overview

- With pressure regulator valve for crankshaft housing ventilation
- Tightening sequence, refer to Figure
- Removing and installing, refer to CYLINDER HEAD COVER
- Cylinder Head Cover Gasket
- Replace if damaged or leaking
- Bleeder Hose for Crankcase Ventilation
- To the intake manifold
- Oil Filler Cap
- Seal
- Replace if damaged or leaking

- Check with Vehicle Diagnostic Tester

- Cylinder Head Gasket
- After replacing, replace entire amount of coolant.
- Replace after removing
- Cylinder Head
- Removing and installing, refer to CYLINDER HEAD .
- Checking cylinder head for warpage, refer to Figure
- It is not permitted to rework sealing surface
- With coolant pipe connection pressed in
-- If necessary, remove coolant deposits with a brass wire brush or with a fine sandpaper (minimum 100 grit).
-- If the pipe connection is worn, replace it using Locking Fluid D 000600 A2.
- Cover
- Only on engines with the secondary air injection system
- Engines with the secondary air injection system, refer to SECONDARY AIR INJECTION SYSTEM OVERVIEW .
- Seal
- Replace after removing
- Cylinder Head Bolt
- Follow the loosening/tightening sequence. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD
- Replace after removing
- Tightening specification: 40 Nm + 180° turn.
- Cable Bracket
- For the Heated Oxygen Sensor -G39-
