- Note installation position: Parts number to cylinder head
Cylinder Head
- Removing and installing, refer to CYLINDER HEAD .
- Check for distortion, refer to Fig 4

- Replace after removing
- Follow the procedure when loosening, refer to Fig 2
- Follow the procedure when tightening, refer to Fig 3

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Loosen the cylinder head bolts in order from -1- through -10-.

-- Tighten the cylinder head bolts in five stages and in sequence -1- through -10- and -arrows-.

Stage	Bolts	Tightening Specification/Additional Turn
1.	-1- through -10-	Tighten to 40 Nm
2.	-1- through -10-	Tighten 90° (1/4) turn further using a rigid wrench.
3.	-1- through -10-	Tighten 90° (1/4) turn further using a rigid wrench.
4.	Bolts -arrows-	Tighten to 4 Nm
5.	Bolts -arrows-	Turn another 90° (1/4) turn using a rigid wrench.

-- Check the cylinder head at several locations for distortion using a Straight Edge - 500 mm VAS 6075 and a Feeler Gauge.

Maximum permissible distortion: 0.05 mm
