Test Sequence

-- Disconnect the connector -arrow- on the Reduced Oil Pressure Switch -F378- -2-.

-- Remove the Reduced Oil Pressure Switch -F378- -2-.
-- Screw the Oil Pressure Gauge Kit VAG 1342 into the oil filter bracket in place of the Reduced Oil Pressure Switch -F378-.
-- Install the Reduced Oil Pressure Switch -F378- in the Oil Pressure Gauge Kit VAG 1342.
-- Start the engine.
- Oil pressure at idle: 1.2 to 2.1 bar (17.4 to 30.4 psi) pressure
- Oil pressure at 2, 000 RPM: 1.6 to 2.1 bar (23.2 to 30.4 psi) pressure:
- Oil pressure at 3, 700 RPM: 3.0 to 4.0 bar (43.5 to 58.0 psi) pressure:
NOTE:
During the break-in phase, the oil pressure may be at 2, 000 RPM at 3.0 to 4.0 bar (43.5 to 58.0 psi).
