Shift Cable And Selector Cable: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Secure the shift cable and selector cables to the shift housing with lock washers -2 and 3- .

-- Install the shift cable -1- to the shift lever and the selector cable -4- to the selector lever inside the shift housing.

-- Install the shift mechanism cover and new gasket and press up the tabs -arrows- to secure the shift mechanism cover to the shift housing.

-- Install the shift mechanism, refer to SHIFT MECHANISM .

-- Adjust the shift mechanism, refer to SHIFT MECHANISM, ADJUSTING .
