2.0L TSI Engines: Removing

Perform the following procedure:

NOTE:

To pull off spark plugs, place Puller - Ignition Coil T40039 on topmost thick rib -arrow- of ignition coils with power output stages.

If lower ribs are used, these can be damaged

-- Remove the "upper" engine cover. Refer to UPPER ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Spark plugs are located under ignition coils with power output stages -2-.

NOTE:

Note the installed position of ignition coils with power output stages!

-- Pull all of the ignition coils approximately 30 mm out of cylinder head in the direction of the arrow using the Puller - Ignition Coil T40039.

-- Press the connector in the direction of the ignition coils with the power output stages. Press the catch by hand and remove the connector -arrows-.

-- Remove spark plugs with Spark Plug Removal Tool 3122 B.
