Ignition System Safety Precautions

WARNING:

To reduce the risk of personal injury and/or damage to the fuel injection and ignition system, always observe the following:

Do not touch or remove ignition wires when engine is running or turning at starter speed.

Only disconnect and reconnect wires for injection and ignition system, including test leads, if ignition is turned off.

Fuel pump is activated with switching on the ignition and by door contact switch on the driver door. For safety reasons, the connector must be disconnected from the fuel delivery unit or the fuse for the fuel pump must be removed before opening the fuel system if the battery has not been disconnected.
