Left Flange Shaft And Seal: Removing

-- Press the brake pedal in order to remove drive axle left bolt -arrow- (with a second technician).

NOTE:

From now on do not let the vehicle touch the ground. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

-- Remove the left front wheel.

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

-- Remove the left front wheel housing liner. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

-- Remove the left drive axle. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

-- Place the used oil collecting and extracting device or drip tray VAG 1782 under the transmission.

-- Remove the bolt for the flange shaft, by installing two bolts into the flange and counter holding the flange shaft using a pry bar.

-- Remove the flange shaft and the pressure spring.

-- Remove the flange shaft seal.
