Ribbed Belt TENSIONING Damper: Removing

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER .

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

-- Remove the ribbed belt. Refer to RIBBED BELT WITH TENSIONER AND A/C COMPRESSOR .

-- Remove the connecting hose cold side. Loosen the clamps -1- and -2- to do this.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- from the charge air pipe and then disconnect the connector -1- from the charge air pressure sensor -G31-.

-- Open the clamp -2-, free up the coolant hose -3- and remove the charge air pipe.

-- Remove the A/C compressor. Do not loosen the refrigerant pipes on the A/C compressor. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

• The refrigerant circuit remains closed.

-- Hang the A/C compressor on the vehicle body with the refrigerant pipes still connected, using suitable wire.

-- Remove the bolt -2- and remove the ribbed belt tensioning damper -1-.
