Crankshaft Seal, Replacing, Belt Pulley Side: Removing

-- Remove the toothed belt. Refer to TOOTHED BELT .

-- Remove the crankshaft toothed belt gear. Use the Counter Support 3415 to keep the toothed belt sprocket from moving.

-- To guide Seal Puller 3203, thread central screw into crankshaft by hand until stop.

-- Remove inner portion of seal puller 2 turns (approximately 3 mm) from outer portion and secure with knurled-head bolt.

-- Lubricate the seal remover threaded head.

-- Install the seal puller with as far as possible into the seal.

-- Loosen knurled thumb screw and turn inner portion against crankshaft until the seal is pulled out.
