Overview Without Brake Pad Wear Indicator, Brake Caliper FS III

NOTE:
After replacing brake pads, depress brake pedal several times firmly to properly seat brake pads in their normal operating position.
Use Brake Charger/Bleeder Unit VAS 5234 to extract brake fluid from brake fluid reservoir.
Install the Brake Pedal Actuator VAG 1869/2 to relieve pressure before removing a brake caliper or disconnecting a brake hose.

- Front Speed Sensor
- Clean the inside of the hole and coat it with Hot Bolt Paste G 052.112.A3 before installing the sensor.

- Wheel Bearing Unit
- The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) sensor ring is installed in the wheel bearing
- Cover Plate
- Removing and installing. Refer to COVER PLATE, BRAKE CALIPER FS III .
- Brake Rotor
- Vented on the inside
- 280 mm diameter
- Thickness 22 mm
- Wear limit: 19 mm
- Replace in pairs
- Removing and installing. Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, BRAKE CALIPER FS III .
- Do not use excessive force to separate the brake rotor from the wheel hub. If necessary, use rust penetrant, otherwise the brake rotors could be damaged.

- Wear limit: 2 mm without backing plate
- Checking thickness.
