Wheel Bearing Unit, Multi-Link Suspension: Installing

-- Carefully install the wheel hub/wheel bearing unit -2- onto the stub axle.

CAUTION:

Make sure that the hubs/wheel bearing unit does not tilt!

-- Install the new bolt -1- and tighten it to the tightening specification.

NOTE:

First tighten the bolt to the specification using the torque wrench.

Using a rigid wrench when tightening additionally.

CAUTION:

Never use an impact wrench when tightening the bolt -1- using the Bit XZN 18T10162 -2- !

-- Install the new dust cap -1-.

NOTE:

Always replace dust caps.

Damaged dust caps allow moisture to enter. Therefore, always use the tool shown.

Install in reverse order of removal.

-- Install the wheel and tighten the wheel bolts. Refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .
