Coolant, Draining And Filling: Draining

Refractometer T10007
Drip Tray for VAS 6100 VAS 6208
Hose Clip Pliers VAS 6340
Cooling System Charge Unit VAS 6096
Adapter V.A.G 1274/8

WARNING: Hot steam may escape when opening the reservoir. Cover cap with a cloth and open carefully.

-- Open the coolant reservoir cap.

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to Description and Operation .

-- Remove coolant hose -1- on the Engine Coolant Circulation Pump 2 -V178- -2-.

-- Release the clips -arrow-, and remove coolant hose from the quick release couplings on the radiator for the air charge coolant circuit.

-- Release the coolant hose clips -arrow-, and remove the coolant hose from the quick release couplings for the radiator.

-- In addition, to drain the coolant from the engine, disconnect the coolant hose at the engine oil cooler -arrow-.
