Clutch Release Mechanism Overview

  1. Transmission
  2. Input Shaft Seal
  3. Clutch Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing
    • Must be replaced together because they are a single unit.
    • Removing and installing, refer to SLAVE CYLINDER WITH RELEASE BEARING .
    • Do not wash the bearing, just wipe it off.
    • Replace any loud bearings together with the clutch slave cylinder.
    • Divided supply line on some slave cylinders, refer to Fig 2.
    • From approximately from May 11: Release bearing with additional plastic washer. Refer to Fig 3, adapted pressure plate Fig 4
  4. Bolt
    • 15 Nm
    • Always replace
    • Quantity: 3
  5. O-ring
    • Installed on the line connection.
    • Install using brake fluid.

The supply line is divided in the area of the -arrow- on some slave cylinders -A-.
