1ST And 2ND Gear Output Shaft Overview

NOTE:

The output shaft is not available as a replacement part.

When installing the tapered roller bearing, install new shims which have the same thickness as the previous shims.

  1. Clutch Housing
  2. Oil Deflector Ring
  3. Adjusting Shim
    • Pay attention to the thickness.
    • Will get damaged when being removed, always replace.
  4. Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
  5. Inner Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
  6. Dished Washer
  7. Output Shaft
    • For 1st and 2nd gear.
  8. Thrust Washer
    • For the needle bearing.
    • Remove from the output shaft, refer to Figure.
    • Installing, refer to Figure.
  9. Axial Needle Bearing
    • Installed position, refer to Figure.
  10. Needle Bearing
    • For 1st gear
  11. 1st Gear
    • With the intermediate gear for the reverse gear on the opposite side.
  12. Synchronizer Ring
    • (Inner race for 1st gear)
    • Checking for wear, refer to Figure.
    • Check for scoring.
    • Installed position, refer to Figure.
  13. 1st Gear Outer Race
    • Replace if there are grooves or scoring.
    • Installed position, refer to Figure.
    • Install on the synchronizer ring -12-.
  14. 1st Gear Synchronizer Ring
    • Checking for wear, refer to Figure.
    • Installed position, refer to Figure.
  15. Axial Needle Bearing
    • Installed position, refer to Figure.
  16. Locking Collar with Synchronizer Hub for 1st and 2nd Gears
    • After removing the locking ring -17-, remove with the 1st gear. Refer to Figure
    • Disassembling, refer to Figure.
    • Assembling locking collar/synchronizer hub, refer to Figure.
    • Installed position, refer to Figure.
    • Installing, refer to Figure.

  18. Needle Bearing
    • For 2nd gear
  19. 2nd Gear Synchronizer Ring
    • Checking for wear, refer to Figure.
    • Insert it so that the holes engage into the engagement pieces of the locking collar -16-.
  20. 2nd Gear Outer Race
    • Replace if there are grooves or scoring.
    • Installed position, refer to Figure.
    • Insert into the synchronizer ring -19-.
  21. Synchronizer Ring
    • (Inner race for 2nd gear)
    • Check for scoring.
    • Checking for wear, refer to Figure.
    • Installed position, refer to Figure.
  22. 2nd Gear
    • Installed position, refer to Figure.
  23. Inner Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
    • Removing with the 2nd gear, refer to Figure.
    • Installing, refer to Figure.
  24. Locking Ring
  25. Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
  26. Adjusting Shim
    • Pay attention to the thickness.
    • Will get damaged when being removed, always replace.
  27. Transmission Housing
