EVAP Canister Ventilation, Checking

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Checking the Ventilation Connection

-- Open the clamp -arrow- and remove the hose -1- from the EVAP Canister Purge Regulator Valve 1 -N80-.

-- Connect the : VAS6213  on the hose to the EVAP canister.

-- Remove the right rear wheel housing liner. Refer to WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Remove the breather line -4- from the EVAP canister and seal the connection on the EVAP canister with suitable service equipment.

-- Set the slider ring -1- on the :VAS6213  in position -B- for "pressure".

-- Squeeze the :VAS6213  approximately 25 times.

The vent connection is OK.

The air filter on the EVAP canister -item 10-  OVERVIEW - EVAP CANISTER SYSTEM List Item:Air Filter with Connecting Line or the Leak Detection Pump -V144- is blocked. Checking the components for contamination.
