Exhaust System, Installing Without Tension: Notes

CAUTION:

Mandatory Replacement Parts
- Gasket - Exhaust Manifold to Front Exhaust Pipe
- Nut - Exhaust Manifold to Front Exhaust Pipe
Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required
- Torque Wrench 1331 5-50Nm :VAG1331
NOTE:
After exhaust system repairs, make sure exhaust system is not under stress and is far enough from the body. If necessary, loosen the clamping sleeve and align the muffler and front exhaust pipe so that there is enough clearance all the way around. The suspended mounts must be loaded evenly.
Replace seals and self-locking nuts.
- Exhaust system must be aligned when it is cool.
