Latch, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

-- Attach the cable -2- to the latch -1- and clip the bracket -3- into the latch -1- -arrow a-.

-- If equipped, thread the Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266- wire into the lock carrier.

-- Guide the latch -1- into the lock carrier -arrow b-.

-- Install the bolts -4-.

-- If equipped, connect the connector for the Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266-.

-- Install the release cable -2- in the cable coupling. Refer to RELEASE CABLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Adjust the latch. Refer to Latch, Adjusting .

-- Install the radiator grille. Refer to RADIATOR GRILLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

• Before closing the hood, make sure the release lever and the cable are working correctly.
