Shavings In The Fuel Delivery Unit And Reservoir

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required
- Suction Pump:VAS5226
-- Clean the fuel delivery unit and the fuel tank with the :VAS5226 .
-- Fill the fuel tank with five liters of diesel fuel.
-- Drain the fuel tank completely again as described above. Refer to MISFUELING .
-- Replace the following high pressure components:
- High pressure pump. Refer to HIGH PRESSURE PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- High pressure lines. Refer to HIGH PRESSURE LINES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- High pressure reservoir (rail) including the Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve -N276- and Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247-. Refer to HIGH PRESSURE RESERVOIR (RAIL), REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Injector. Refer to FUEL INJECTORS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING and/or HIGH PRESSURE RESERVOIR (RAIL), REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Fuel return lines (oil overflow lines). Refer to OVERVIEW - FUEL INJECTORS .
- Fuel filter. Refer to FUEL FILTER .
-- Fuel the vehicle.
-- Bleed the fuel system. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM, FILLING/BLEEDING .
-- Perform a road test.
