MISFUELING Guard, Removing And Installing: Removing

Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to PARKING/AUXILIARY HEATER AND FUEL SYSTEM CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Open the fuel filler door.

-- Clean the area around the fuel filler tube.

-- Remove the cover -1- on the fuel filler neck.

-- Unlock the locking tab on the locking ring using a TORX® Screwdriver, for example, T15 -arrow-.

-- Insert the locking ring pliers into both holes -arrows-.

-- Turn the locking ring counter-clockwise 25°.

-- Tilt the locking ring inside the fuel filler tube and remove it through the fuel cap opening -arrows-.

-- Remove the misfueling guard from the fuel filler tube in direction of -arrow-. Use locking ring pliers if necessary.
