Cylinder Head Cover, Removing And Installing: Removing

NOTE:

During installation, all heat shields must be installed at the same location.

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495- -2- using a tool from the :T10395A  .

-- Remove the bolt -3-, free up the pipe and push it aside.

-- Release the retainers in direction of -arrows-, disengage the upper toothed belt guard -1- and push it toward the right side.

-- Remove the fuel injectors. Refer to OVERVIEW - FUEL INJECTORS .

-- Remove the connection on the turbocharger. Refer to TURBOCHARGER CONNECTIONS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Open the heat shield boot -1-.

-- Disconnect the connectors -3, 5 and 6- and free up the wiring harness.

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Disconnect the connector -4-.

-- Lay the bracket with the differential pressure sensors to the rear.

Continuation For All Vehicles. 

-- Disconnect the vacuum hose -arrow-.

-- Loosen and remove the cylinder head cover bolts in the following sequence: -7 through 1-.

-- Remove the cylinder head cover.
