Overview - High Pressure Pump

- Sub-Assembly Bracket
- Removing and installing. Refer to SUB-ASSEMBLY BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Bolt
- Short bolt 20 Nm + 45°
- Long bolt 20 Nm + 180°
- Always replace after removing.
- Different lengths
- Quantity: 3
- High Pressure Pump Toothed Belt Sprocket
- Nut
- 95 Nm
- Use the :T10051 to loosen and tighten
- Hub
- Remove with the :T10489
- High Pressure Pump
- With Fuel Metering Valve - N290- (not open)
- Removing and installing. Refer to HIGH PRESSURE PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .CAUTION:
Letting The High Pressure Pump Run Dry Will Destroy It.
- If the high pressure pump is removed or replaced, then the fuel system must be filled/bleed before the first engine start. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM, FILLING/BLEEDING .
- After replacing adapt the adaptation values in "Guided Functions " using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Fuel Supply Hose
- Fuel Return Hose
- High Pressure Line
- Between the high pressure reservoir and the high pressure pump.
- Removing. Refer to HIGH PRESSURE LINE BETWEEN HIGH PRESSURE RESERVOIR (RAIL) AND HIGH PRESSURE PUMP, REMOVING .
- Read and follow all instructions on installing the high pressure lines. Refer to HIGH PRESSURE LINE, INSTALLING .
