High Pressure Pump, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install In Reverse Order Of Removal And Note The Following: 

-- Place the hub -arrow- on the high pressure pump shaft.

-- Place the high pressure pump toothed belt sprocket on the hub.

-- Install the nuts -arrow- on the high pressure pump shaft threads.

-- Mount the counterholder on the toothed belt sprocket and tighten the nut -arrow- hand-tight.

-- Turn the high pressure pump toothed belt sprocket with the :T10051  until it can be secured using the :T10492  .

-- To do this place the :T10492  in the hub fork -2- and the rear hole -1- in the sub-assembly bracket.

-- Loosen the nut -arrow- again.

-- Install the toothed belt. Refer to TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING - Installing (Adjusting Valve Timing) .

-- Install the high pressure line. Refer to HIGH PRESSURE LINE, INSTALLING .

CAUTION:

Letting The High Pressure Pump Run Dry Will Destroy It.

  • If the high pressure pump was removed or replaced, then the fuel system must be filled/bleed before the first engine start. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM, FILLING/BLEEDING .

-- After replacing the high pressure pump adapt the adaptation values in "Guided Functions". Refer to :Vehicle Diagnostic Tester  .
